The Child and Youth Care Workers’ Association of Manitoba is excited to announce that registration for the 2024 National Child and Youth Care Conference here in Winnipeg, MB. from June 5-7 is now officially underway! Below you will find the link to register for tickets which also includes Education Day on June 4. Please note that there are no single day tickets available, only the 3-day conference rate. 

More information regarding hotel reservations at the Fairmont can be found on our website www.cycwam.org. There will be a conference rate that will be honoured for the duration of the conference, as well as a couple of days prior to the conference.

The Council of the Canadian Child and Youth Care Associations would like to recognize and honor the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on Sept 30, 2023. This day holds profound significance for our nation as we acknowledge the historical injustices, systemic discrimination, and intergenerational trauma experienced by Indigenous peoples in Canada. It is a day to reflect on our shared history and commit to a future of understanding, reconciliation, and unity. As Child and Youth Care Practitioners, we stand in solidarity with Indigenous communities across the country, and actively engage in the process of truth-telling, listening, and learning. We take time on this day to reflect and plan meaningful change, fostering a society built on respect, empathy, and inclusion.

This week we are celebrating Child and Youth Care Workers/Practitioners across Canada for all the hard work that you do! Please make sure to check with your provincial associations on how CYC Week is being recognized in your province!

We are happy to announce that the Child and Youth Care Workers’ Association of Manitoba (CYCWAM) will be hosting the next National CYC Conference in late spring of 2024! We will be sure to keep you posted as new information develops. Stay tuned!
